Description
MEIDIKE GENE® Specimen Collection Swab is a medical device used to collect samples from the body for testing or analysis. It consists of a long stick with a soft tip made of materials such as cotton, polyester, or nylon.
MEIDIKE GENE® specimen collection swabs are available in various styles and can be customized. There are mainly the following types:
- Nasopharyngeal swabs: These swabs are used to collect samples from the back of the nose and throat, and are commonly used to test for respiratory infections like COVID-19.
- Oropharyngeal swabs: These swabs are used to collect samples from the back of the throat, and are also commonly used to test for respiratory infections.
- Buccal swabs: These swabs are used to collect samples from the inside of the cheek, and are often used for DNA testing or to test for certain infections.
- Vaginal swabs: These swabs are used to collect samples from the vagina, and are often used to test for sexually transmitted infections or other vaginal infections.
- Rectal swabs: These swabs are used to collect samples from the rectum, and are often used to test for infections like gonorrhea or chlamydia.
